Africa’s Copper Giants Eye Profits and Trade Growth Amid Rising Global Demand

Africa’s top copper-producing nations, Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), are stepping up efforts to boost profits and expand trade opportunities. With copper playing a pivotal role in renewable energy and electric vehicle production, these countries are positioning themselves as key suppliers in the global market.

Zambia and the DRC are implementing policies to attract foreign investment, improve infrastructure, and enhance local processing capabilities. “We are focused on ensuring that our resources drive economic growth and development,” said a Zambian official.

However, challenges such as regulatory hurdles, environmental concerns, and market volatility remain. Analysts stress the importance of sustainable practices and transparent governance to achieve long-term success.
